Bosch Board Member gets a firsthand view of Bosch India CSR

Mr. Christoph Kübel, Member of the Board of Management and Director of Industrial Relations of Robert Bosch GmbH, visited us on 22nd March 2016 to know more about CSR activities at Bosch Limited. He was accompanied by Mr. Soumitra Bhattacharya, Joint Managing Director, Bosch India and other members of the CSR Committee.

Mr. Kübel interacted with the beneficiaries of Bosch Social Engagement. This included students and teachers from government schools who benefit from the Health, Hygiene & Education program, students and heads of NGOs supported by Primavera, and current and past students of BRIDGE.

After visiting to the new Artisan Training Center, Mr. Kübel paid a personal visit to the BRIDGE Center located at Hosur Road I.T.I. where he was welcomed by the Principal and IMC officials, besides the BRIDGE Trainer, Coordinator and Students. He was appraised of how Bosch, through Public Private Partnership with the Government of Karnataka, is enabling the upgradation of I.T.I.s through setting up of Bosch Technical Lab and ‘Train the Trainer’ initiatives.

The Principal explained that 92 students have passed out of the BRIDGE Program so far at the I.T.I. and all of them have been successfully placed. Mr. Kübel expressed satisfaction and happiness on the CSR activities carried out through the Bosch India CSR thrust areas and the impact they continue to create in uplifting the lives of the underprivileged and filling the skills gap.
